The Gourmet Festival six years ago has really changed Vallarta's restaurants inception. For two weeks every November more than 20 restaurants, including the incomparable Abadía Bassó, invite chefs from around the world to come to Puerto Vallarta and create new menus to dazzle the tourists and residents. This Festival has raised standards across the board and has elevated Puerto Vallarta restaurants to be some of the finest places to experience Mexican cuisine in the world.
